Now is your chance!
From 28 October – 1 November, the EMAs will be trawling Berlin to find the city’s most enthusiastic music lovers to take part in the eagerly awaited MTV Europe Music Awards.
Those lucky enough to be selected will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get up, close and personal with Awards performers and presenters as they walk red carpet and perform at MTV’s glittering live music event.
On 28th October, Dell will be holding the Awards first and most exclusive ‘golden ticket’ open audition at Media Markt, Alexanderplatz, Berlin from midday. Hosted by Joe Hatchiban, of Berlin’s legendary Karaoke in the Park, music fans will warm up their singing skills to Dell’s signature track Lollipop before being asked to dance and sing to music by some of this year’s EMA performers. The contestants that impress the most will be given ‘golden ticket’ access into Berlin’s 02 World on the night of the Awards - before any other standing guest.
From 31 October – 1 November, MTV will be holding further casting sessions at MTV Networks Germany GmbH, Stralauer Allee 7, 10245 Berlin from 1000 – 1700 on 31 October and from 1100 – 1600 on 1 November. At these casting sessions, MTV fans will be asked to prove to the judges that they are Germany’s biggest music fans…enthusiasm, energy and big personalities will be a must! Aspiring rock stars will have the opportunity to practice for their audition moment using The Beatles: Rock Band which will be set up for contestants while they wait.
In addition, 100 Sony Ericsson Fan Walkers will be undertaking a challenging 10 day walk from Hamburg to Berlin to be part of the MTV Europe Music Awards experience. The EMAs will be broadcast live on MTV from 9pm CET from the 02 World, Berlin on Thursday 5 November.
Commented Richard Godfrey, Executive Producer, MTV Europe Music Awards: “It is important to us that as many music fans as possible get to be part of this year’s EMAs so we have decided that tickets to the event at the 02 World will be free and only available via public castings. We’re proud to be bringing so many exciting performers and presenters to Berlin for this year’s show - which is even more special as it will be part of the historic 20th anniversary celebrations of the fall of the Berlin Wall. MTV Germany’s audiences are amongst our most ardent so we look forward to some impressive auditions – and lots of energy on the night!”
